Disney Cruise Line® Planning List

Book Your Trip:
The first step is booking your vacation. We can assist you with all of the exciting details of choosing the room and cruise itinerary that will best suite your family.

A deposit of 20% of the total cruise fare is required to make your stateroom reservation. For most itineraries, the balance of the reservation must be paid no later than 90 days prior to sailing. Full payment for the cruises 10 nights or longer or cruises that embark or debark from a non-US port must be received 150 days prior to arrival for all concierge categories and 120 days prior to arrival for all non-concierge categories.

Payments can be made at any time with a minimum of $25. You may use a Disney Gift Card or any major Credit Card including the Disney Visa Rewards Card. Cruise reservations that are not paid in full by their balance due date will automatically be canceled.

Book Airfare:
You will want to keep your eye on airfare deals. Some people actually book their airfare first deciding their date range according to when they can get the best deal on airfare. Saving money on airfare is on of the best ways to save money on your vacation.

Although I can assist you in booking your airfare, you will find better deals on independent airline websites. Follow me on Facebook & I will try to announce deals that I find on airfare.

Travel Insurance:
Vacations can be costly and often times when things go wrong right before or during your vacation travel insurance can take the sting out of a potential disaster. Now is the time to think about Travel Insurance. I can add Disney Insurance to your trip at the time you book your trip. If you are interested in outside insurance, there may be some perks to purchasing your travel insurance within 14 days of your initial trip deposit.

42 Days Prior to Sailing:
Passport: Although a passport is not required for all US closed loop itineraries, I highly recommend getting a passport for everyone in your traveling party. You never know when you may have a medical emergency or an unforeseen circumstance that might require you you to have a passport.

Passport processing time can vary depending on the time of year, and occasional circumstances such as natural disasters. If traveling in less than 6 weeks, you are encouraged to expedite your passport application.

90 – 150 Days Prior to your trip:
Final Payment due for your trip. We will send you an email reminder before this point so be sure that we have your correct email address.

90 – 120 Days Prior to Sailing

Below is the chart for advance bookings for onboard amenities and more such as, onboard dining for places like Palo & Remy, shore excursions booked through Disney, spa reservations, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or the Pirate League reservations (on the Fantasy only), nursery reservations and private cabanas on Castaway Cay.
